We will continue to collect coats and accessories until at least
the end of this year. It was so wonderful to deliver our collection to date to Hope Bridge. There were 17 coats, 2 pair of ski pants and 10 hand
made scarves. All of the items will be given free of charge to people in need of warmth. Way to go!!! Thank You !
Anyone can drop off additional items at any of our general meetings.

Christmas Cards for Ambassador Nursing Home
If you have some new and extra Christmas cards,
please bring them to our November general meeting. The cards will be by signed by members. It would be fun if some of our youth (kids and
grandkids) could also write a short message inside the cards. We will be delivering these cards to the residents when
we go to sing and visit in December. It really warms your heart to experience the caroling!

Cooper Craft Fair Update
October 26th, it’s almost here! Your opportunity to finish most of your Holiday shopping in
one day. We have over 140 crafters and artists
selling their items. Be sure to invite your
friends and relatives to share in the day. The
event is open from 9am to 3pm, so you have
lots of time to shop.
Coffee and treats are
also available for your
enjoyment.
We still have some volunteer opportunities
open on both Friday night for marking spaces
and on Saturday to help out. Friends and relatives are also welcome to join our volunteer
crew and get to shop too. If you are already
signed up to help, thank you so much for making this event a SUCCESS. We couldn’t make a
difference in our community without your
help! Contact Rita @ zucarita@comcast.net for more information.

A Note from President Rita - October
The Women of Today Organization, has had several name changes since its start 70 years ago.
Originally it was part of the Jaycee’s Organization, it has helped
women to improve their lives and
find their places in society over
those many years. At Winter State
Convention in January, we will be
celebrating the 70th Anniversary of
our great organization. Please try
to join us for this celebration at
the Doubletree in St. Louis Park.
More information will follow in the
upcoming newsletters.
If all goes well, the State Program
Manager for Living and Learning,
Sarah Sundine and President Cat
will be joining us at the November
meeting and we will be starting the
meeting at 6:30 both in November
and December when we have our
Holiday party. I hope members will
come with support and questions.
Don’t forget Make a Difference
Day is October 26th, where millions
of volunteers will unite in a common mission!
-Rita J.
