Stronger Together: Bringing Awareness to Homelessness

By Zachary Fincher

Inspired by Becca's recent post and driven by a desire to understand and empathize with the challenges faced by homeless youth, I am organizing an event called "Sleepover Night." This event aims to provide a glimpse into the daily struggles and realities experienced by those living without stable housing.

On the night of 04/20/2024, we will come together to camp out with close to nothing for 12 hours. This experience will allow us to step outside our comfort zones and gain a deeper appreciation for the privileges we often take for granted. By spending a night with limited resources, we hope to gain in- sight into the hardships faced by homeless individuals and foster empathy and understanding.

I invite you to join me in the meaningful endeavor. By participating in "Sleepover Night," you will have the opportunity to make a tangible difference in our community by raising awareness about homelessness and advocating for those in need.

Together, we can make a difference and create a more compassionate and inclusive society. If you're interested in participating or have questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. Let’s come together to support each other and shed light on an important issue. Looking forward to experiencing "Sleep over night" with you!
