October Note From President Tawn

Happy October to all you wonderful and amazing women! School is off to another successful beginning, football is in full swing, the Twins are in the playoffs and New Hope Women of Today had a fantastic first trimester. Our chapter was recognized many times at Fall State Convention. Please read Theresa’s article for a complete list of winners. I am always amazed and inspired by what small groups of determined women can accomplish. Let’s keep the excitement rolling. Second trimester can get very busy with the all of the holidays. That being said, it is a wonderful time to remember those that are less fortunate than ourselves. The New Hope Chapter has some wonderful events that you can participate in. There is something for everyone. First and foremost is the Cooper Arts and Craft Fair. This is our largest project and it brings in the funding that allows us to do other projects. We need everyone’s help to make this successful. Please check out the Signup Genus and sign up for a shift or two. I know Kathy is looking for help with the Trick or Trot event on Oct 7th at City Hall. Delores is collecting coats to donate to Prism. Please contact her if you have a coat to donate. Dottie has partnered once again with One Good Deed to collect items for their annual scarf bombing event. They accept hats, mittens, socks, blankets and anything else that will help keep the homeless warm during the winter. I will be heading up the Thanksgiving baskets again this year. Look for a Signup Genius for items to donate. Jennifer is chairing the shopping spree again this year. Diane W Carr will be hosting a coloring night and hanky angle craft night. Deb will be hosting another Bingo night at Out Takes. As you can see, there are plenty of opportunities to participate.

Enjoy October!
