NHWT Member Spotlight – Jodie M

 


Our October Member Spotlight is Jodie. She joined Women of Today in 1992 and served as the MNWT State President in 2003/2004. This year Jodie is mentoring our Chapter treasurer. You can find her supporting our many Ways and Means Projects along with volunteering for many of our service projects.

Jodie’s Favorite Snacks: Healthy: fruit; unhealthy: milk chocolate

Jodie’s Favorite Project/Social: I've really come to enjoy the Backpacks for Bridging project. It's doing great good, but is a wonderful social time as well.



Jodie’s Recipe to Share:

Nut Goodies

12 oz. chocolate chips    12 oz butterscotch chips    2 c. peanut butter

Melt and pour ½ into pan. Refrigerate until firm.  Add 1 lb. salted peanuts to other half and cover.

1 c. butter    ¼ c. regular (not instant) vanilla pudding    ½ c. evaporated milk

Heat and boil one minute. Remove from heat and add 1 t. maple flavoring.  Add two pounds powdered sugar. Beat until smooth.

Add maple nougat to first layer of chocolate. Add peanut/chocolate mixture to top. Refrigerate.
